Thermal insulation works in Geneva and surroundings

Lasting comfort – energy savings – thermal performance

Improve your comfort
with lasting thermal insulation

A poorly insulated building loses up to 30% of its heat through the walls, 25% through the roof and 10% through the floors. Those are Swiss francs evaporating each month into your heating bills. Thermal insulation is the most effective lever to sustainably reduce your energy consumption, improve the comfort of your spaces and enhance the value of your property. At Class Orga, we carry out thermal insulation works as part of our expertise in energy optimisation and CECB, for a consistent approach between diagnosis, works and certification.

Every project starts with an analysis of the existing envelope: heat loss measurement, identification of thermal bridges, evaluation of current U-values and definition of the targets to reach (cantonal compliance, Minergie label, improvement of the CECB certificate). On this basis, we recommend the solutions best suited to your building and your budget.

Our thermal insulation services:

  • External wall insulation (EWI): composite systems with mineral render, ventilated cladding or rigid insulation panels, to treat the envelope without reducing living space.
  • Internal wall insulation (IWI): insulating linings in mineral wool, wood fibre or composite panels, suited to heritage buildings where facade intervention is not possible.
  • Roof insulation: high-performance panels on flat roofs (with waterproofing membrane) or between/under rafters for pitched roofs, with proper management of air and vapour tightness.
  • Lower floor insulation: treatment of slabs over basements, crawl spaces and floors over unheated rooms, to eliminate invisible losses through the floor.
  • Thermal bridge treatment: insulation of slab edges, window reveals, sills and wall-roof junctions, to ensure the continuity of the insulating envelope.
  • Bio-sourced and eco-friendly insulation: wood fibre, hemp, cellulose wadding, cork, for projects favouring low-carbon materials with good hygrothermal compatibility.

All our interventions target U-values compliant with SIA standards and current cantonal requirements, facilitating the achievement of a favourable CECB certificate or a Minergie label. Cantonal grants (Building Programme, Eco21) often cover a significant share of the costs: we support you through the process of obtaining them.
