Plastering, painting and plasterwork in Geneva

Plastering and painting are the last visible stages of a site, and they set the tone of the whole. A poorly prepared render, peeling paint, visible joints between boards: when finishes are not carefully executed, the rest of the work loses its value. At Class Orga, we have mastered the art of interior finishes for over 40 years, as part of our all-trades works in the Canton of Geneva.

Plasterwork is part of Geneva’s craft heritage, and our plasterer-ornamentists carry on this tradition. Mouldings, cornices, rosettes, frames: we create custom ornamental decors, both for historic residences and for contemporary interiors that wish to integrate a feature of character.

Our services cover all plastering, painting and plasterwork:

• Drywall and linings: installation of plasterboard partitions (BA13, high-density, moisture-resistant), thermal and acoustic insulating linings, cladding of ducts and technical enclosures.
• Renders and smoothing: rough coats, smooth or float finishes, complete skimming of walls and ceilings before painting.
• Ornamental plasterwork: creation and restoration of mouldings, cornices, rosettes and decors in stucco or plaster, hand-made or cast on site.
• Interior painting: application of matt, satin or gloss paints, water-based or solvent-based depending on substrates and room use (residential, offices, high-traffic spaces).
• Decorative techniques: mineral decorative renders (stucco, tadelakt, polished concrete wall), textured effects, lime wash and glazes for a unique finish.
• Heritage restoration: restoration of old decors, reconstitution of period mouldings, invisible patching on existing plaster.
• Technical paints: anti-humidity treatments, high-resistance paints for technical rooms, anti-corrosion protection on metal supports.

Each site is subject to rigorous substrate preparation: stripping, sanding, crack treatment, priming. Our craftsmen select materials according to the specificities of each room (humidity level, exposure, use) to guarantee a durable result and flawless finishes.

We work on new constructions as well as complete renovations, in coordination with the plumbers, electricians and carpenters present on site. Finishes only start when substrates are ready: this rigorous scheduling is what guarantees a result that lives up to the promise.
